Yesterday I went to the town of Dordrecht with Annelies and Babette (we missed you, Margriet!). As you can see in the photos, it was very cloudy, but that didn’t stop us! This time we went to Villa Augustus. I’d heard so much about it already, so it was high time for a visit. And I wasn’t disappointed. The shop was excellent, loads of fresh produce and must-have products. Recommended!
Afterwards I noticed someone standing behind the black aubergine(?), which makes it look like it has legs. Guess I was a little distracted by all the goodies. Looks funny though, so I decided not to crop the photo.
During lunch, as always, we had so much to talk about. Really enjoyed these chunky roasted vegetables too:
The photos of the vegetable garden I took will be in a future Urban Jungle Bloggers post. Meanwhile, here’s a sneaky ‘behind the scenes’ shot for you (sorry ladies ;))
Resisted posting the photo where Babette finds out where sprouts come from ;)
We also went thrifting. Just a little, we can’t help it. I only bought this super embroidery (I promised myself I wouldn’t buy anything for the vintage shop anymore, but look at it: how could I not?). The colours are better than in the photo… Let me know if you’re interested, I’ll make a special listing for you (must be brave).
After that, we visited Marieke Ooms at her pop-up shop Indie-ish in the city centre. Always nice to talk with other creatives about their experiences. Sweet shop too!
Finally we sat down for some refreshments (excellent espresso and brownies!) at Zusjes (‘organic delicatessen, espresso and lunch’). Really nice place. The day flew by as always, we really need to plan for another road trip, girls!
Babette also blogged about our little trip to Dordrecht: here.
